Malad : Clean up campaign is being organised on the Danapani beach at Malad by the Keep Hope Alive Founadation.
Danapani is a famous beach of Mumbai. Tourists visit here in large numbers. Some tourists drink liquor and throw bottels on the beach. Tourists also put plastic bags, glasses, dishesh, wrappers and other wastage material. Due to this behavior, the beach becomes unclean.
On the other side of the beach there are mangroves. Plastic bags and bottles are harmful for mangroves. Plastic is also dangerous for the environment and aqua life.
The Keep Hope Alive Foundation has been cleaning up beach since last two months with the help of Mumbai Municipal Corporation. The Foundation is also appealing to tourists to use dustbins.
